New Timing Chip for Full Arm Scoring Machines.Recent changes in the FIE rules for the 2004-2005 season regarding Sabre and Foil, brought about substantial changes in the way of fencing. For both coaches and fencers, it is surely very useful to realize that some hits, signalled with the traditional machine, are not signalled any more with the new machine. Regarding the changes, they are the followings:- for FOIL: The blocking time is reduced to 300msec (instead of 750msec)The impact-time is increased to 15msec (instead of 1-5msec)- for SABRE: Theblocking time is reduced to 120msec(instead of 325msec)Those who already own a Full-Arm-01, can assemble by him/her self this Kit, buying the only the chip to be inserted in the scoring machine.There are two version of the chip available. The "01" version allowes the machine to be switch back and forth between old and new timing. This is useful if the machine travels to tournaments that may or may not have the new timing (all machines must use the same timing at an event.)The "05" version is a single new timing chip that comes with appropriate paperwork and a tamper proof "T2005" sticker for the back of the machine.THE USFA HAS ADOPTED THESE CHANGES FOR THE 2004-05 SEASON

Our washable glove (sold individually for the fencing hand only) is made not with leather, but with synthetic suede. The man-made fabric allows excellent feel for the fingers yet is durable. It is best washed by hand (care instructions included).This synthetic suede glove comes with all the fine design features of its leather cousins: padded back of the hand; double-layer of thicker leather over thumb, forefinger and heel of palm to resist wear; adjustable Velcro-closing on elastic, streamlining cuff that conceals and protects body cord, hugs jacket sleeve and limits target exposure. The medium weight saber we offer is a cavalry trooper's chosen weapon. It posses excellent cutting and slashing capability and still remains useful for a thrust. In fact, it was so popular that it remained in use long after Napoleon's star had fallen and was wielded by both sides in our own Civil War.In its general overall appearance, it very closely resembles the United States 1860 Light Cavalry Saber. However, this design is slightly different and makes for a far more effective and durable weapon. The thick, moderately curved blade is forged out of 1055 Carbon steel and features a long, wide fuller and a very sharp, practical point.

This Non-stainless steel lame is perfect for beginners. Why? It does the job and it's inexpensive. It lasts from 1-3 seasons, getting the beginner well into the game without spending past the need. And the savings end up paying for the nest one when the beginner outgrows it. For all concerned it is a No Care Lame. No care needed (cannot be washed, only air dried.) Don't care that it's so cheap. Don't' care it works so well for 1-3 seasons. Don't care when you have to get a new size or a better one. It has done it job. Gray and/or White color (depending on stock availability).

The X-Treme Fencing Y S-2000 is the first step into high end blades where the basic shape of the blades is refined to give better balance.
